AUSA launched its new 4.5 and 6 tonne forklifts at BAUMA 2004. With these additions, AUSA is now prepared to meet any need for this type of machine, from 700 Kg to 6 tonnes.

With the launching of its 4.5 and 6 tonne forklifts, AUSA meets the needs of 99% of rough-terrain forklift users, from those of the smallest to the biggest (700 Kg to 6 tonnes). "There are no gaps in our range", states José Ramón Gómez, AUSA's Commercial Director. "With these new trucks we fully cover the rough-terrain forklift market, and we do that with ground-breaking products."

In the opinion of Xavier Perramón, AUSA's Product Strategy Director, the new forklifts "are sure to be a success". They feature high stability, innovation, capacity and design and are prepared to handle heavy loads "with the maximum safety."

Safer and more stable

These new forklifts are equipped with special components to ensure optimum efficiency and reliability, including low ground pressure flotation tyres to better absorb the irregularities of the terrain. This enables the vehicle to travel at a higher speed and carry extra-tall loads without danger of overturning. The ease with which these heavyweights ride over bumpy ground makes them especially suited to such sites as quarries, saw mills, foundries, and production works for pre-built concrete elements, among many others.

These sophisticated machines have hydrostatic transmission, for extreme precision in their movements and total load control. They are compact vehicles able to move about in intricate and narrow spaces. Their rough-terrain capability gives them added stability and an exceptional grip.
AUSA takes special care to ensure easy access to all machine components, by means of a folding cabin, among other features.

The new forklifts are expected to have great potential in Europe and the U.S. but Gómez is sure that other markets "are eagerly awaiting trucks like these".
