AUSA INCREASES ITS PRESENCE IN THE ARAB EMIRATES

AUSA’s presence in countries in the Arabian Peninsula is increasingly obvious. Expected sales for 2006 could reach record figures

It is becoming more and more common to find AUSA vehicles in the Arabian region. It is an area with high growth expectations and where the Spanish company’s presence continues to increase. In fact, all indications point towards an historic record in terms of sales made in this region in 2006.

Although AUSA’s presence in the area is not recent, agreements with KANOO, its official distributor in the Arab Emirates, enable the company to quickly penetrate the region. KANOO is a very well-known company in many Gulf countries and has enormous potential in a number of the Emirates in the region. In addition, by having a competitive distribution network, “we guarantee maximum efficiency and full supplies to all our clients” confirms Josep Solar, AUSA’s Export Manager.

“We have great business opportunities” declares Soler. It isn’t surprising given the growth generated by countries in the area year after year. The wealth created in the region, due mainly to its natural resources, is revitalising other sectors in which AUSA also has an important role to play. These include construction, a sector that is experiencing feverish activity throughout the region only comparable with the activity seen in certain cities in China.

The mass creation of new construction projects in the area is enabling AUSA’s penetration. Dumpers and particularly forklifts are demonstrating their complete efficiency on an increasing number of work sites. Just five years ago, AUSA’s presence in the area was almost residual, but the company is now becoming a point of reference with strong foundations on which to strengthen its consolidation.

Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other Emirates in the region, together with many other countries in the Middle East, are clearly committed to the Spanish brand. With the support of these countries, AUSA expects strong sales growth within the next few years. According to Soler, the construction sector will catapult the brand into the area once and for all. In 2006, sales will achieve exceptional turnover in this area.

The construction of what will be the world’s tallest building acts as an example of the spectacular events being experienced in this area. The building is 900 metres tall and contains a ski slope. For all these reasons, AUSA’s patient presence in the region for some years now is beginning to reap the benefits, as the company has been able to win the confidence of the area’s professionals.
