AUSA THINKS BIG

AUSA is continuing to expand its offer of dumper trucks, now with the new D 1000AP and D 1000APG rotating version. With this new machine, the Spanish company has completed its range, with versions from 1 to 10 tons in terms of capacity, more than any other brand on the market.

This dumper truck is a genuine 10-ton load capacity, with a front-end or rotary unloading system. It has a modern design, which started with the 6-ton version, and is fitted with a latest-generation KUBOTA 105CV turbo-powered diesel engine.

Safety for the operator, manoeuvrability and stability were the three main premises for the design of this large dumper truck. Even with one of the most competitive widths on the market, i.e. 2.48 m, to make it easier to transport this machine anywhere, the company has striven to guarantee these three concepts:

Safety for the operator:
1. The operator has been provided with a visibility distance from his/her seat of 8.7 metres from the obstacle, which is an important advantage over other dumpers with this capacity.
2. The operator’s seat is 395 mm higher than the D 600AP version and is protected with safety bars on both sides to make driving safer.
3. All of the controls are within the driver’s comfort zone, avoiding forced or awkward movements during driving.

Manoeuvrability:
1. The outer rotating radius of the D 1000AP/APG is 5950 mm, much more accessible than that offered by other competitors, which are between 6000-6500 mm. This has been achieved due to an optimum wheelbase distance (2500 mm).
2. The 490 mm clearance from the floor also allows for a more stress-free and safer driving on difficult and rough terrain.
3. The AUSA 10-ton version is fitted with 4 large wheels (16PR) with a floating system, allowing maximum adaptation to the terrain.

Stability:
1. The counterweight on this dumper truck is designed so that it properly balances the various weights under adverse dynamic conditions, considerably improving the machine’s stability. It also protects the interior mechanical components, since it is made from resistant steel.
2. The hopper, with a 5255-litre loading capacity in the front-end version and 5944-litre in the rotating version, now has the highest capacity on the market.

Other features of this machine include its permanent 4x4 drive, hydrodynamic transmission with Turner 4-speed synchronised gearbox on both sides, and special ZF torque converter for 10 tons.

It is also worth mentioning the fact that all of these versions include an NS400h paint treatment, ensuring excellent performance in corrosive environments.

This machine will be on display at the next BAUMA show in Munich, at AUSA’s stand.
