| AUSA MACHINES IN GOOD HANDS THANKS TO ONGOING TECHNICAL TRAININGConstant updating is one of the mainstays of success to ensure an efficient after-sales service and customer satisfaction. With this in mind, AUSA organises all kinds of courses for professionals who work for its technical service. Any AUSA gear assembly component must be properly lubricated. This sentence sums up the goal of AUSA Service, which constantly provides its workers with courses aimed at meeting “the high demands of an increasingly discerning market”, in the words of Manel Moreno, head of the Technical Training and Documentation area.
Among the wide range of courses organised on a regular basis are those targeted at mechanics in the sales network of distributors, rental companies and major accounts. The courses can be “standard”, with a set content and specialising in AUSA’s own manufactured products, which take place at the Manresa facilities, or “custom-designed”, which meet the customer’s requirements, either in terms of content or because the teacher holds the course at the customer’s own facilities.
The range of courses is extensive and there is usually one nearly every week. In fact, the wide network of AUSA distributors scattered around the world and the high number of rental companies means that AUSA’s Technical Area is forced to constantly update with a view to providing a better service to the customer. Also, the innovation generated at the R&D&i department requires a rigorously up-to-date technical team (mechanics). “This is one of our secrets since a machine that has undergone proper maintenance is more productive and projects a better brand image”, points out Moreno.
Apart from providing information on which methods to use to repair and suitably maintain the company’s machines, the courses also teaches the students how to interpret electrical, hydraulic and troubleshooting diagrams, and to know who is who on AUSA’s staff in order to contact the right person should they need technical assistance.
Recently, international courses have been implemented, for example in Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, Holland and the USA, as well as national courses. More than 240 people have been trained so far this year, which confirms the interest that technical workers in AUSA’s sales network have shown in these courses.
